Preparing the home for spring

Long live spring! When spring arrives, homes open their windows and doors, the days get longer and we start to spend more time outdoors in the streets or countryside. How we long for spring!

At the same time, our homes also have to make the change from winter’s cold weather to the new warmer season. Spring is associated with a wide variety of lifestyles and this is reflected in home design. We suggest a few different trends in design to inspire you.

Stylish spring.

Plants are a must, together with furniture and décor in a natural finish. Wood, natural fibres, and hand-made pottery will lend your home a stylish, spring-like feel. Play around with contrasting colours and materials. Base the décor on a maximum of three colours, including white, and you’ll have got the idea!

Exotic spring.

In this case, fundamental ingredients include linen cushions, trendy angular pots and, when possible, filtered light to ensure lighting with a special feel capable of marking out particular areas. Light is one of the different features that contributes to this exotic spring-like look, in addition to materials like bamboo or plants with big leaves, such as ferns, palms, rubber plants, Swiss cheese plants and dry eucalyptus branches placed close to a window or powerful light source.

Pop spring.

A fun-looking, more modern touch can be achieved by using the decorative ideas outlined below.

Pottery or fabric cacti, curtains in carefully coordinated colours with a Pop Art design, glass, porcelain and light-looking fabrics are all trend-setting features for this spring-summer season. Glass tables adorned with candles and dishes, pots of different sizes, and frames that fill the walls with photos and illustrations are additional key ideas.

Welcome to spring!
